With the promulgation and implementation of national and provincial air pollution control policies and air pollutant emission standards, the control of VOC emission is becoming more and more strict. In this situation, the rail transit, container, agricultural machinery and other industries have widely used water-based coatings to replace the traditional solvent coating construction machinery industry. In recent years, the application of water-based coatings has also been studied. Some enterprises have begun to use water-based coatings on a large scale. In addition, water-based coating manufacturers have also begun to pay attention to the construction machinery industry. A large number of product research and development have been carried out for the water-based coating used by construction machinery. Many coating enterprises have developed water-based coating specially used for construction machinery.
One of the most famous examples of the application of water-based mechanical engineering is the case of Sany Heavy machinery. Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the research of water-based coating since 2014. By 2018, there are 10 water-based coating production lines in Kunshan Park of Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. This series of environmental protection measures and emission standards have greatly restricted the use of traditional solvent based coatings, which in turn greatly promoted the production and application of waterborne coatings. Construction machinery coating is also the main content of VOC treatment. Water-based coating is a kind of low VOC coating next to powder coating and electrophoretic coating. Therefore, the use of water-based coating is an important way for the compliance production and emission of construction machinery.
Through the exploration and application in recent years, it is proved that the application of water-based coating in construction machinery industry is feasible and successful. Although there are still some difficulties in water-based coating of construction machinery, on the one hand, it benefits from the promotion of successful experience, on the other hand, under the pressure of environmental protection, the application of water-based coating in the construction machinery industry is a trend, and it will continue to be promoted from complete machine production enterprises to supporting parts production enterprises.
